Our summer trip to Northwestern Montana.

The first six days were spent at Glacier National Park. First from West Glacier, and then from a motel alongside St. Mary Lake, we traversed the Going-to-the-Sun Road, and also drove up through Babb to the Many Glacier region for a boat ride across Swiftcurrent and Josephine Lakes to Grinnell Lake.

Have cameras, will travel!

The last four days were spent in the Flathead Lake region Southwest of the National Park. From our base in Lakeside we explored the western side of the lake, and chartered a boat in Bigfork to take us to Wild Horse Island for wildlife viewing - bald eagles, mule deer and bighorn sheep.

We also visited the National Bison Range for more wildlife. Here we saw bison, pronghorn antelope and elk, all with babies.
